Il Marchese del Grillo (1981)
Il film di Mario Monicelli, che vede Alberto Sordi interpretare lo scansafatiche Marchese Onofrio del Grillo, si ambienta nella Roma papalina di inizio Ottocento. Il nobile ama trascorrere le giornate tra osterie, gioco d’azzardo e scherzi molto ben congeniati ai danni di amici e poveri popolani. I set cinematografici a Roma sono in realtà ricostruiti per lo più a Cinecittà. E’ lì che gli scenografi ricostruiscono, per esempio, piazza Bocca della Verità. L’incontro del Marchese con il prete brigante Don Bastiano, successivamente condannato a morte, avviene invece a Monterano, suggestivo borgo antico a nord di Roma. Alcune scene sono state girate anche al Parco degli Acquedotti e a Grottaferrata.
